Okay,so here is my first blog.All about rail and volvos that i travel regularly.Should be noted that I travel on Local Ac buses(Suburban to Suburban).
Here i go...
The time is 6 am.There is no traffic at all,you could hear the birds chirping sound easy.Some were getting ready for their respective work,some were jogging,parents were seeing accompaying their children to school while some people like me were sleeping.Hoping to capture the talgo express ontime at some station of Western railway,Immediately woke up from my bed done some exercise(I never did actually lol.)After getting freshed,I had some breakfast consisting of Tea and biscuit only,lol.Now its the time to get dressed up,I quickly grabbed a full cotton shirt,a formal pant,shocks and shoes.Packed my bag with food and power bank.As i was leaving my house,I said goodbye to my mom and ensured i will be back shortly.But who would know that this day will be one of the good moments of my life.
The time is 7 am.I am at juinagar station,waiting for my local at platform no 4.Just now missed my local by a gap of 1 minute,where it matters the most to every mumbaikars.Next local is at 7.12 am,and i m sitting just relaxing and thinking where to capture the "spanish" made talgo.Umroli is a great idea,then there is a chance of missing it.Right now,it would be better if we reach first borivali station and then we will think about it and gosh! My local came exactly at right time.I was happy and sad at the same time,too much rush and no place to sit.Got a place for standing though.Thereafter,we cruised all the way till kurla,stopping at stations in between,reached kurla 4 mins late.While waiting for Fast train for cst at kurla,there was a signage of heavy rainfall and i was thinking,"Yaar talgo late hoga kya"?(Will talgo be late)But who would know that talgo was running late?
The time is 8 am.I am at dadar station.Many trains on central railway are running late too.Vidarbha express just now arrived at pf no 5 of dadar.A wdp4 4000 H.P locomotive is resting at Dadar's pf no 6.Rpfs is checking the baggage of every person who will board the bangalore bound udyan express at dadar.Still,there is no rainfall though the sky was very cloudy.As i am progressing towards dadar western railway,i know it will be a war like situaition.Only god can save me and even then,i have to protect myself first from these office crowds.I m at pf no 3 of dadar(W.R),a virar local is coming right now,and all public is ready to board the train.The train has come,slowing down and as just the train has stopped,all office goers has said "Halla bol" to the train,pushing each other,fighting for seat and while some are lucky to get a seat,others like me have to stand till the destination.After local departed and a journey of 30 mins,finally reached borivali.
The time is 8.55 am,5 minutes more for 9 am.I opened my whatsapp chat and to my surprise,there was some waterlogging issue at vapi and so trains are running late,including " Mumbai rajdhani"and talgo.So I decided to do some railfanning.First capture of the day is Indore-Mumbai central "Avantika" express,running late by 4 hours.Then comes just behind avantika,the Jamnagar-Bandra express.And then,my long wish to capture was finay being granted,The mumbai central-ahmedabad shatabdi express,fastest train between bct and adi,reschedulde by 2 hrs.
The time is 9.40 am,One rf from andheri has messaged me to do railfanning at andheri.So i immediately boarded a local train from borivali and to my surprise,the train destination was andheri.I got update that Talgo had just crossed Bhayander,so my fear was that whether my local would be given a slow line to give way for talgo? But no,western railway controllers had another ideas.
The time is 10.20 am,i am at andheri,waiting with other railfans.Mumbai rajdhani has just crossed now andheri,and we got update talgo crossed jogeshwari.Railfans were excited to see the "Talgo" train here,and finally a twin-tone honk was given by a "wap5" with a tiny load coaches,and it was none other then talgo.I recorded the video of it and smoothly passed andheri station.And that is it,the moment we will cherish forever.
